Set up to import into Canada first, then ship by parcel or LTL truck. A US seller can register as a Non-Resident Importer (NRI), and Treqo guides that registration and the CBSA CARM portal setup. NRI registration takes about 6 weeks. Next, create the shipment in Seller Central. Ship small loads by parcel and pallets by LTL truck. Pick one that handles the full trip: pickup, customs, and delivery to the Amazon warehouse with an appointment. For pallets in the US and into Canada, Treqo quotes LTL and FTL through Unishippers and CSA, books them on the same platform as parcels, and has a clearance team for holds. Freightos, Flexport and ShipBob each do a different job. Freightos is a freight marketplace. Flexport is a freight forwarder with customs and fulfillment. ShipBob is a fulfillment warehouse (3PL). Treqo is shipping software with customs handled, discounted UPS, FedEx and DHL rates, and LTL and FTL trucking in the US and into Canada, at $0 per month. You need a way to import into Canada, and an NRI number is one option. As a Non-Resident Importer (NRI), your US business imports in its own name, without a Canadian company. You also need a CBSA CARM portal account. Treqo guides both. NRI registration takes about 6 weeks. For FBM and DTC orders, Treqo's integrated importer of record (IOR) is another option.

Clear your shipments under a lower-cost brokerage setup. With Treqo's UPS brokerage model, US-to-Canada shipments clear under Treqo's structure. The disbursement fee on duties is 50% less: on $1,000 in duties, $18.50 instead of $37.00.

Look for software that calculates duties before you buy the label, builds the customs papers, and lets you pick DDP or DDU per shipment. Treqo does all three.
